Hudsonian-type Pictorial Hooked Rug, America, early 20th century, rectangular rug hooked with wool yarns depicting a woman ringing a dinner bell with several figures in the background and the quote "This Motley Crew You Guessed It! Are My Husband's Kin/No Matter What I Dish Them Out/They're Ready to Eat Again," on an oatmeal-colored ground with black border, (minor stains), 37 x 62 in. Remarkably good condition with only a few small light stains, must have been stored until now, very clean, yarns are very bright and strong, edges bound with black twill..
