Frank Weston Benson (American, 1862-1951) Ducks at Play, 1923, published state, edition of 150 (Paff, 217). Signed "FrankWBenson." in pencil l.l., initialed and dated within the plate, identified on a handwritten label affixed to the backing. Drypoint on paper, plate size 10 7/8 x 13 3/4 in. (27.5 x 34.8 cm), framed. Condition: Toning, gentle rippling, not examined out of frame. Out of the frame the sheet measures 13 7/8 x 17 3/8 inches and has deckled left and right edges. The sheet is toned and the area within the mat opening is darker than the rest. There are creases to the margins at the corner u.r. plus minor overall handling creases. There is masking tape at the corners on the reverse.
