George III Silver Sugar Basket, Edinburgh, 1789, James Dempster, maker, boat-shaped, the conforming trumpet foot, beaded rims and swing handle, bright cut engraved with guilloche banding and husk swags and roundels, lg. 7 1/8 in., approx. 9.1 troy oz. one side engraved with small mottoed crest. minor age wear, including slight surface wear to engraving, and scattered light interior pinpoints.
