Sevres Ormolu-mounted Porcelain Center Bowl, France, 19th century, the bowl interior with flowers and central motif of hand-painted straw hat, bouquet, and insects, bowl exterior with blue ground centering a scene of child courtiers, with a further bouquet on the reverse, flanked by scrolling handles set with babe-bust finials, on reticulated oval base with four outset feet, lg. 19 1/2 in. Firing flaw to bowl interior, scattered loss to enamel, ormolu mounting around rim warped so that it no longer lies flat, scattered re-soddering, corrosion and spots of verdigris patina.
