Shellwork Sailor's Valentine, Barbados, 19th century, hinged octagonal case, decorated with multicolored shell designs, one side with an ornate heart motif the other side with inscription "A PRESENT FROM BARBADOS," (five molding segments missing), 9 x 9 in. , (closed). Five molding segments holding the glass in place are missing, all shell segments are present and attached.
