Two Large Orange Lustre Transfer-decorated Jugs with Maritime Themes, England, 19th century, the jugs decorated with linked ovals, one jug with four ovals depicting the ship "Truelove From Hull," the "Mariner's Arms," a verse "The Gift," and a vessel "Norah Creina Steam Yacht," (rim repairs, hairline); the second with five ovals depicting a ship at sea, a verse "Now Safe Returned From Past Dangers...", a depiction of "Jack's Safe Return," a verse "Far From Home...," and another ship at sea, with inscribed presentation under the spout: "James & Sarah Egderton 1876," ht. 9 1/8, 9 1/2 in.
