Pieced Printed Cotton Feathered Star Pattern Quilt, America, c. 1870, composed of a grid of twenty-five blocks, each centered with an eight-point star of pink and green printed fabric on a small red patterned ground, bordered with ombre-shaded blue and white foliate-printed fabric, backed with a floral raised style Prussian blue and dull tan printed fabric, (toning, minor scattered stains, fraying to small areas on edges, scattered fraying/losses to backing fabric), 102 x 102 in. worn and washed condition, the floral backing fabric has a lot of brown in it and it is frayed in numerous spots.
