Silver Center Bowl, William Mitchell, Boston, early to mid-19th century, bulbous bowl with floral and foliate rim and base and applied scrolled foliate band, the side with engraved crest over a banner engraved with the motto "FIDES NON TIMET" (faith fears not), on a stepped circular base, impressed maker's mark struck twice on the bottom, ht. 8 5/8, dia. 10 1/8 in., approx. 41 troy oz.
