Chinese School, 19th Century Lot of Three Works Depicting Chinese Port Scenes: Macao From the South Looking North, Wampoa Anchorage , and Boca Tigris Forts on the Pearl River. Unsigned. Watercolor and gouache on pith, sight size 5 3/8 x 10 1/4 in., in later gilt-gesso wood frames. Condition: Tears, one with loss, minor foxing, not examined out of frames. These conditions are reported as framed. The paintings were not taken out because of the fragility of the pith. There may be more damage under mat. Macao From the South Looking North-abrasion with two small losses l.l. area about 3/4 x 1/8 in.; 2 tears from l.l. edge 1 1/2, 2 in. visible; one tear from l.r. edge about 2 in. visible, sparse foxing spots, a few faint vertical lines in sky Wampoa Anchorage- tears u.l. and l.l. corners. Boca Tigris Forts on the Pearl River-tears at all four corners faint vertical lines in sky area
