Collinson & Lock Inlaid Secretary on Stand, London, c. 1890, inlay in the manner of Stephen Webb, upper section with central door enclosing a shelved compartment, door painted with a woman and a swan, signed "L," and flanked by a row of four drawers, all decorated with Renaissance-inspired inlay, the lower section made up of a row of three inlay-decorated drawers on two fluted rectangular legs, with paneled back, raised on a molded plinth, impressed maker's mark to interior of central drawer and numbered 6256, approx. ht. 68, wd. 44, dp. 15 3/4 in. Very slight surface abrasions to interior shelving and lower plinth. Lowest interior shelf with ring mark. Door hinge slightly loose. Scattered loss to veneer along side panels where the cabinet meets the stand. Small nicks along keyholes, moldings and front leg.
