Chester County, Pennsylvania Queen Anne walnut tall chest, dated 1743 , initialed ID , with five over four drawers, above a scalloped skirt and bracket feet, 59 1/4" h. , 39 1/2" w. This chest was purportedly given to Jane Downing by her father, Thomas Downing, in the year of her marriage to John Roberts III. It descended directly through the family until being sold at Pook & Pook, Inc., September 30, 2005, lot 164.
