Queen Anne Carved Walnut Side Chair, Boston, c. 1730-50, old refinish, (minor imperfections), ht. 41 1/4, seat ht. 19 in. Note: This chair closely resembles the Boston side chair illustrated in Richards and Evans, New England Furniture at Winterthur: Queen Anne and Chippendale Periods , number 14. glue blocks replaced, small patch to right front foot, front left knee return replaced, iron brackets added joining rear legs to seat frame under shoe.
