Arts & Crafts Gold, Opal, and Pearl Cross and Chain, Edward Oakes, c. 1930, set on one side with opals and circular-cut sapphires, and on the other with half pearls and onyx tablets, all among foliate motifs and scroll and gold bead accents, suspended from trace link chain with open cylinder and bead links, lg. 2 1/8, 23 1/2 in., unmarked. Note: Accompanied by a letter of authentication from Susan Oakes Peabody, in which she states, "I have had the pleasure of viewing many of Grandfather's crosses and own one. This is by far the most beautiful I have seen".
