Brass Singing Bird Box, probably Germany, c. 1880, the cast and chased case depicting dancers in a outdoor country setting, the lever operated clockwork mechanism raises the repousse lid to reveal the singing bird with colorful plumage moving wings, tail, and beak while singing a bird song, wd. 4, dp. 2 1/4, ht. 1 3/4 in. song is monotone, plummage dark, may need bellows repair, lid opens and closes properly.
