Important Silver and Labradorite Master Brooch, Georg Jensen, designed as elaborate foliate and bud motifs set with and suspending labradorite cabochons and drops, no. 96, 3 3/4 x 2 1/4 in., signed GI 830S Denmark. Note: Pictured in Georg Jensen: A Tradition of Splendid Silver , by Janet Drucker, p. 95. Drucker explains that Brooch no. 96 is "referred to as a 'master brooch' ...because it is larger than most other brooches and probably took more time to complete." Pin catch is replaced, labradorite with typical inclusions, minor overall wear, otherwise good.
