Soviet Porcelain Propaganda Plate, St. Petersburg, Russia, 20th century, painted with central cog motif with Cyrillic inscription "dare, dare, dare, once again and always" and the red star with a hammer and sickle, gilded; base with Cyrillic monogram with crown mark of Nicolas II and date 1902, Cyrillic inscription "After a drawing by R. Wilde," dia. 9 3/8 in. Very minor scattered loss to enamel and surface abrasions. No chips, cracks, or repairs.
