John Joseph Enneking (American, 1841-1916) Sheep Pasture at Twilight Signed and dated "Enneking 80" l. r., inscribed "Mr. Richard Kennedy/ P.N. Wadleigh/ 19 Highland..." on the reverse. Oil on board, 8 1/4 x 12 in. (20.9 x 30.6 cm), in a period frame (under glass). Condition: Minor retouch, minor abrasions/losses along the frame liner, craquelure. N.B. We wish to thank Patricia Jobe Pierce for her kind assistance cataloging the lot; the work will be included in her forthcoming catalogue raisonné of works by John J. Enneking. Minor loss to l.r. corner approx. 1/8 x 1/8 in., no additional condition issues to report.
