(45.1 x 65.1 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch, trimmed canvas, abrasions along frame liner, craquelure, minor skinning. Provenance: Christie, Manson & Woods, Important English Pictures, London, November 23, 1984, Lot 25 (illus.); collection of Louis D. "Bud" Root (1922-2009), Southampton, New York. Retouch clustered in the sky u.l. corner, scattered retouch to the riders' jackets and to the horse in the center. Unveven varnish. Canvas trimmed of tacking edges and lined. The lining canvas has some age to it.
