Marvin Cone (American, 1891-1964) In a Paris Park Signed "MARVIN CONE" l. r., titled in pencil on the reverse. Oil and graphite on canvasboard, 9 5/8 x 11 7/8 in. (24.4 x 30.2 cm), framed. Condition: Minor surface grime. Provenance: Acquired from the artist by his Coe College pupil, Elaine T. Duckwell, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, c. early 1960s; by family descent to the present owners. N.B. We wish to thank Joseph Czestochowski for his kind assistance cataloging the lot; this painting will be included as no. 1959.019 in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné of the artist's work being compiled by Joseph Czestochowski and published by International Arts. No additional condition issues to report.
