Giò Pomodoro (Italian, 1930-2002) Congiunzione [Conjunction] , 1956 Signed, titled, and dated "Gio Pomodoro... 1956" in ink on the paper backing, identified on a label from World House Galleries, New York, affixed to the backing. Bronze bas-relief with green patina, 16 1/8 x 7 1/2 in. (41.0 x 19.1 cm), mounted to a burlap-covered Masonite panel. Condition: Dismounted from Masonite with one replaced screw, dust/grime to interstices, minor oxidation. The burlap-covered Masonite panel measures 22 x 13 1/4 in., no additional condition issues to report.
