Makart, Hans (1840-1884) Stenciled Document, Signed. One paper bifolium, a stenciled document completed by hand in German; Munich, 4 July 1860, old folds, 13 1/4 x 8 in. Makart's application to the Royal Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts, filed when the young artist was only nineteen years old, with his signature, and the signature of his mentor and teacher Karl Theodor von Piloty (1826-1886).
