Paul Spindler (French, 1907-1980) Three-panel Marquetry Floor Screen, c. 1950, skillfully inlaid in various figured and tinted veneers, depicting a hunting party armed with bows and spears racing through the woods after two elk, the figures in medieval-style clothing, with a castle in the distance, each panel joined by brass hinges, raised on two metal-mounted bracket feet, self-framed, inlaid signature to lower right corner "P. Spindler," ht. 71, wd. of each panel 26 1/2, total wd. 79 1/2 in. N.B. Correspondence with Jean Charles Spindler, the son of the artist, accompanies the lot.
