Federal Tiger Maple Slant-lid Desk, possibly Ohio, second quarter 19th century, cherry and poplar secondary, lid opens to an interior of a paneled prospect door opening to four drawers, flanked by two false bottom document drawers and ten shorter drawers over two compartments, all with cherry drawer fronts, on case with four graduated drawers, having opalescent glass knobs, and engaged ring-turned half column stiles, (slant lid and prospect door hinges loose), ht. 45, wd. 40 1/4, dp. 19 1/4 in.
