Donald Deskey Amodec Chest of Drawers, United States, rectangular top over four drawers with brass pulls, shaped block-form feet, Amodec label in drawer, imperfections in veneer, ht. 54 1/2, wd. 35 1/2, dp. 18 in. Note: Donald Deskey designed furniture for his company, AMODEC, in the 1930s, which was produced by Thomasville Furniture. One of the most sought after designers of his time, his most dramatic design accomplishment came in 1932 when he won the competition to design the interior of New York's Radio City Music Hall.
