Boris Bilinsky (Russian, 1900-1948) Costume Design for La Princesse Cygne , 1932 Signed and dated "Boris Bilinsky 32" in pencil l. l., inscribed "Princesse Cygne..." with color notes on the reverse. Gouache and graphite on paper, sheet size 19 x 12 3/8 in. (48.3 x 31.4 cm), unframed. Condition: Minor tears, minor handling creases, minor soiling. N.B. Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's ballet La Princesse Cygne was produced by Bronislava Nijinska at the Théâtre National de l'Opéra Comique, Paris 1932. This work will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné by René Clémenti-Bilinsky.
