Wostan (Polish, b. 1915) Matin , 1962. Signed and dated "Wostan 62" l.r., dated "16 VIII 1962" on the reverse, titled on an exhibition label affixed to the frame l.r. Oil on canvas, 21 3/4 x 18 1/4 in., framed. Condition: Losses/flaking to the u.l. quadrant, canvas deformation to u.c., surface grime. Note: An exhibition pamphlet and two holiday cards containing woodblock prints (one by Wostan) accompany the lot.
