Pair of Famille Jaune Eggshell Porcelain Vases, China, late 19th century, oviform with rounded shoulder, waisted neck, and flaring mouth with rim in the shape of a shallow dish, resting on a short raised foot, the body painted with landscapes, adult figures and boys, and flowers in a series of variously shaped panels against a yellow ground filled with lotus scrolls, bats, and lanterns, a ruyi lappet under the mouth rim, an upright lappet and a pink band of geometric design encircling the shoulder, a stylized lappet around the bottom, four-character Qianlong mark in a square on base, ht. 8 1/8 in.
