Civil War Officer's Chapeaus, Hat Badges, and Buttons, folding beaver officer's chapeau with ostrich feathers, gold bullion hat cords, gold bullion cockade with gold eagle, maker's mark on inside label POLLARD & LEIGHTON over an eagle, the remnants of its pasteboard box, a group of Massachusetts buttons, G. A.R. veteran's badge, hat badges, and a beaver chapeau and tin case. Provenance: From the collection of the late Peter F. Frazier and M. Prudence Fleck. Note: These items belonged to Dr. George W. Sargent, surgeon of the 6th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Militia.
