McClees & Germon (American, fl. 1846-1855) Hand-tinted Half-plate Daguerreotype of a Young Girl in a Plaid Dress, stamped "McCLEES & GERMON" and "PHILA" on brass mat l.l. and l.r., respectively, in an embossed leather case. Condition: Very subtle horizontal scratches, split case, case worn and abraded with losses at corners and spine, minor scattered spots on brass mat, velvet pad lightly worn, not examined out of case. Provenance: A private New England collection.
