Mario Sironi (Italian, 1885-1961) Composizione , 1942 Signed "Sironi" l. r., also signed, titled, and dated "Sironi...942" with three stamps from the Galleria Bergamini, Milan, on the reverse and stretcher. Oil, tempera, and graphite on paper mounted to canvas, 26 1/2 x 19 1/2 in. (41.9 x 49.5 cm), framed (under glass). Condition: Lifting/flaking, craquelure, minor surface grime. Provenance: The artist to Willy Macchiati; Galleria Bergamini, Milan; private Rhode Island collection. N.B.
