Chinese Export Famille Verte Soup Tureen, late 17th/early 18th century, oval tureen with cockerel finial on the shallow domed cover and iron red and gilt ogival handles, the cover and bowl sides decorated with enameled sprays of chrysanthemums alternating with hibiscus, with seeded green borders ornamented with phoenixes and peonies, the bowl interior with similar chrysanthemums and hibiscus blossoms and an insect perched on a buddleia spray below an iron red tassel and green trellis border below the rim, (imperfections), ht. 7, wd. 10, lg. 13 in.
