Palampore Textile, India, late 19th century, the field with staggered teardrop-shaped medallions containing blossoming flowers in red and blue-green below a crenulated mihrab, all within a main border of dense meandering floral vines, the compartmented minor border displaying cypress trees, bottom cross panel comprised of a contiguous group of floral swags, inscription at top right, 4 ft. 10 in. x 3 ft. 5 in., framed.
