Inscribed "TO ALVIN ALBRIGHT, FRIEND AND PAINTER, PAR EXCELLENCE/ PANEL MADE BY- Byron Thomas 1955 WOODSTOCK, VERMONT" on the reverse. Oak panel stretched with linen and with applied ground, 12 5/8 x 16 in., unframed. N.B. The inscription likely refers to Ivan Le Lorraine Albright (American, 1897-1983).
