Avar Kilim Bag, Northeast Caucasus, late 19th century, each bagface containing a large, medium blue square inset with a single stylized rosette in ivory, soft yellow, and red on a navy ground with red spandrels, with a contiguous stepped half diamond border, the center panel drawn in similar fashion with the medallion composed of a reciprocal tulip form, 3 ft. 7 in. x 1 ft. 2 in.
