Eagle-pommel Sword and Partial Scabbard, c. early to mid-19th century, brass eagle pommel with pierced knuckle bow and counter-guard, bone grip with a wire wrap, fire blued blade marked WOOLEY/SARGENT/& CRANES/WARRANTED , and engraved with foliate designs and a panoply of arms, partial black leather scabbard with engraved throat and middle band, blade lg. 31, overall lg. 36 in. Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Fort Ticonderoga Museum.
