Two Round Swing-handled Nantucket Baskets, one by S. P. Boyer, Nantucket, Massachusetts, 20th century, the first of deep round form, the handle attached with brass ears, with double-wrapped rim, and turned ash bottom, ht. to top of handle 12, dia. 10; the second smaller but also of deep round form, the handle attached with brass ears,with turned mahogany bottom, the underside with stamped mark reading "BOYER" twice, intersecting at the "Y," maker's applied printed label, and pencil inscription "Nantucket, Mass.," old surface, (break to handle, small loss to rim wrapping), ht. to top of handle 6 1/4, dia. 5 1/2 in.
