Pair of Mirror Black Bottle Vases, China, Qing dynasty, bulbous form with a long slender neck slightly curving outward towards the white-glazed mouth rim, the glaze ending before the unglazed foot rim, with a double-ring mark in underglaze blue to white-glazed base, ht. 8 1/4 in. Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire.
