Karakalpak Wedding Mantle, Central Asia, late 19th century, the ikat ground cloth comprised of an aubergine, blue-green, apple green, gold, and ivory contiguous curled and hooked palmette design with a border with multiple curled ram's horn embroidery on red and black felt, aubergine and green fringe, the red felt face panel with aubergine latch-hooked diamond embroidery, 5 ft. 1 in. x 4 ft. 3 in.
