"Christmas Pantomime, No 2: Extraordinary Harlequin Leap" hand colored engraving printed by St. Martin's Lane. Satirical print in the series 'Political Sketches', published by Thomas M McLean (1821-1851). Scene shows Peel as a harlequin jumping head first through a screen inscribed "PROTECT AGRICULTURE CORN LAWS", while Wellington as Pantaloon and Graham as a clown look on in admiration, Russell and Morpeth in envy, the Duke of Norfolk in a fainting fit of horror. Framed 14.3" x 18.125". Provenance: From the Collection of Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia.
