Four Flower Painting Leaves from an Album, China, in the manner of Xu Wen (dates unknown), each depicting flowers on a two-leaf spread, one of hibiscuses; one peonies; one thistle with a dragonfly and a grasshopper; and one of three birds perched on tree branches, each with two of the same seals reading "Xu Wen" and "Cai Ruo," color on paper, (front cover missing), painting 8 3/4 x 12 1/4 in. Provenance: From the estate of Kai Suhr, who supplied Chiang-Kai-shek's army in China between the years of 1938-1939.
