Eight-leaf Painting Album of Beauties, China, in the manner of Jiang Peng (dates unknown), entitled "Guchao Jiang Youqian Huace Zhenfeng," depicting beauties in various poses, portrayed in natural surroundings with rocks except the second one depicting a woman on a blank background, the third with three seated women, the fifth with a tiger, and the sixth with a boy playing with a toad, each leaf with one or two of three types of seals reading "Jiang" and "Peng," "Jiang Peng in," and "Youjian," one only with a seal reading "Feiluzhutang," three with an inscription, ink and color on silk, each leaf 17 3/8 x 18 3/4 in. Provenance: From the estate of Kai Suhr, who supplied Chiang-Kai-shek's army in China between the years of 1938-1939.
