Jade Pilgrim Bottle Vase with Bronze Cover and Base, China, flattened flask-shape with straight neck rising to form an oval mouth, resting on a splayed stem foot decorated with a band of downturned lotus lappets, decorated in relief with palmette leaf scroll designs in spade-shape panels on the front, back, and sides, the neck with two openwork foliate scroll handles with a loose ring each, the vase resting on a conforming bronze base decorated with a lotus lappet band as in the cover in the shape of a multi-tier stupa with a lotus knob, ht. 11 1/2, wd. to 6 1/4 in.
