Arthur Garfield Dove (American, 1880-1946) Centerport XIII , 1942 Unsigned, identified on a label from The Downtown Gallery, New York, affixed to the reverse. Gouache and watercolor on paper, 3 x 4 in. (7.6 x 10.2 cm), framed. Condition: Areas of craquelure with losses and flaking, primarily to the yellow pigment, affixed to the back mat along top edge of the reverse. Provenance: Estate of the artist; The Downtown Gallery, New York (no. 42/9); purchased April 5, 1967; private New England collection. Literature: Arthur G.
