Seven American Coin Silver Mugs, mid-19th century, two Gorham, 1855-60, each with engraved decoration and a presentation inscription: one with strawberries, presented to Edward Sherman Pomeroy, ht. 4, the other with a central rocaille cartouche, presented to William Viall Chapin, ht. 4 1/8; another retailed by Jones, Ball & Poor, Boston, with a presentation inscription to Charlotte M. Brown, further marked "W&G." possibly for Woodward & Grosjean, ht. 4 1/8; the fourth with an engine-tuned body and presentation inscription to Jane Hamilton, with an unknown maker's mark, ht. 4 1/2; a J.B. Jones cup with a vacant foliate cartouche, ht. 5 3/4; and two lacking maker's marks: a small cup with a floral cartouche centering a presentation engraving to Arthur Hamilton Frost, ht. 3 5/8, and a cup with a paneled body and oak leaf motif centering a presentation inscription to "Dr. Ranny," ht. 4 1/4 in.; approx. 38.0 troy oz. total.
