St. John Langton, London, affixed to stretcher, inscribed "FABER" on stretcher. Oil on canvas, 27 x 35 in. (68.5 x 88.9 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, craquelure, scattered losses. Provenance: Purchased by P. St. John Langton, London, in 1927; through to Richard B. Faber; purchased from the above at the Kent Show in Connecticut in 1973; from the buyer to the current owner. N.B. The sale of this lot will benefit the Worcester Art Museum, Worcester, Massachusetts.
