Creamware Courtship Pitcher, England, c. 1780-90, possibly Staffordshire or Liverpool, baluster shape black transfer printed on one side with a courting couple with sheep by one side after The Shepherd Lovers by Boitard, the reverse with maidens seated by a fence rail with sheep and trees after Le Billet Doux by Boucher, ht. 5 7/8 in.
