Mahogany Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, attributed to David Williams, Newport, Rhode Island, c. 1830, turned wood bezel over the painted iron Roman numeral dial, mahogany panels in throat and lower door with ormolu decoration inset in beveled frames, throat flanked by wood side ornaments, eight-day brass "A frame" movement powered by a cast iron weight and regulated by a pendulum, ht. 38 in.
