Plains Spontoon-style Tomahawk, c. third quarter 19th century, a unique form incorporating a brass fixture and ornate gun barrel to secure the blade and bowl, with fine rocker-engraving on the metal, the ash handle with file branding, scalloped edge, brass decorations, and pewter mouthpiece, traces of Chinese vermillion overall, dark patina, lg. 22 1/4, lg. of head 11 1/4 in.
