Fine Scale Model of the USS Constitution "Old Ironsides," the detailed model housed in a glass and brass case on a mahogany base, ht. 61, wd. 43, dp. including case 16 in. Provenance: Lannan Ship Model Gallery, Boston, to the present owner. Note: The USS Constitution is a wood-hulled frigate of the United States Navy. Launched in 1797, she is best known for her victories in the War of 1812. She is berthed at the Charlestown Navy Yard in Boston.
