Pair of Canton Enamel Covered Jars Mounted as Lamps, China, 18th/19th century, for export, baluster-form, the body decorated with continuous scenes of the female generals from the Yang family training, riding horses, and practicing with bamboo swords, bordered above and below by lappets and cartouches containing landscape scenes, a band of scrolling florals at the neck and stylized lotus flowers, a blue meander over a lotus petal motif at the rim of the covers, with vignettes of bamboo and rockery, and a lotus finial, mounted as lamps and on carved wooden stands, overall ht. 28, jar ht. 17 1/2 in.
